2026 Schwalbe British 4X Series Rounds 3 & 4: Falmouth, Cornwall – Race Report

Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2026 Lloyds Bank 4X National Series took place under glorious blue skies and sunshine in Falmouth, Cornwall over the weekend. Falmouth Bike Park have done an amazing job preparing one of the UK’s premier 4X facilities and this weekend was one of the best prepared tracks we have ever seen. With a great mix of overtaking, multi lines and technical sections, this track is loved by amateurs and elites.

With the track being just 1 mile away from the local beach this is also an excuse for the riders to arrive a little earlier than usual to enjoy the idyllic setting that this unique track has. The open practice session on Friday was busy as riders sessioned the track working out the best lines for racing on Saturday.

Saturday:

Saturday rolled around and the weather was glorious! The forecast was perfect and the track looked incredible.

After a practice session in the morning racing commenced at 13.15. The elite mens race was incredible to watch during the motos. Every race could have been a final, such was the depth of talent. After 3 motos it was Jake Hart, Duncan Ferris and Connor Hudson with wins and looking strong.

With such depth the semi finals were always going to be tough. A big shock as Elite rookie Jake Hart exited in the semi finals, as did Jack Hudson, Tom Bell and John Lillingstone. Jack Hudson went onto win the small final and claim 5th on the podium.

In the final, it was another dominating ride by Connor Hudson to claim his 3rd win of the season, ahead of Duncan Ferris. with Charlie Currie in 3rd who managed to hold off Ben Jones.

In the Senior Women’s, Megan Kirby made her British 4X debut and meant business. Taking the win from Katherine Oldfield, Hannah Escott and Agnes Musial.

There was some incredible racing and we wanted to congratulate all the winners who put on a great show all day!

Andrew Lockwood, Atlas Lewis-Field, Seth Kucharik, Harry Donald, Jack Davey, Jono Harradine, Jamie Webb, Marti Pearce, Matthew Pratley, Evie Knight, Hollie Webb, Esme Ward, who all took the wins in their respective categories.

After the racing we had the podium celebrations and then it was time for BBQ’s and relaxing at the beach whilst the stories of the day were told around open fires.

Sunday:

Sunday morning arrived and round 4 was all set. Racing got underway at 12.15.

With no track changes this year, the track that raced so well was used again on Sunday. With blue skies and even more sunshine, the scene was set for another great day.

In Senior women it was another flawless race from Elizabeth Bown. After a crash that took her out of racing on Saturday, it was great to see her bounce back for the win on Sunday at round 4.

So in Elite it was wide-open for another winner in 2026. In the qualifying rounds Jake Hart again looked fast along with series leader Connor Hudson and National Champion Duncan Ferris.

In the small final it was Jack Hudson who once again took the win and 5th overall for the day.

Onto the final. The gate dropped and it was a huge battle through turn 1 as the riders jostled for position. Jake Hart got himself into the lead whilst Connor Hudson was fighting with Duncan Ferris and Kenny Phillips. The speed was high and there were a few passes back and forth as the fight for 2nd raged all the way down. There was no doubt about the winner though. Jake Hart i just his 4th Elite race took the win convincingly from Hudson, Ferris and Phillips.

Just like Saturday, every race had passes and calculated riding. Here are the winners from all other race categories:

Andrew Lockwood, Atlas Lewis-Field, Seth Kucharik, Harry Donald, Jack Davey, Jono Harradine, Jamie Webb, Marc Vries, Matthew Pratley, Evie Knight, Hollie Webb, Esme Ward,

The podiums concluded the day and it was the end to another superb Schwalbe British 4X Series event.

The next rounds of Schwalbe British 4X Series take place on June 20th and 21st at Afan in South Wales.

See you all trackside.
