2026 Schwalbe British 4X Series Finals – Twisted Oaks

Taylor, Dove, Bell and Hudson victorious in Suffolk

The 2026 Schwalbe British 4X Series finals took place at the incredible Twisted Oaks Bike Park in Ipswich at the weekend where the 2026 Series Champions would be crowned.

This track is one of the most flowing 4X race tracks in the UK. With a great mix of rhythm sections, multi lines and technical sections, this track is loved by amateurs and elites.

With the track being just a few miles away from the nearest beach this was also an excuse for the riders to arrive a little earlier than usual to enjoy the idyllic setting that this unique track has. The open practice session on Friday was busy as riders sessioned the sections working out the best lines for racing.

Saturday Round 9:

Saturday morning and the weather was perfect. Blue skies and low wind. Wind forecasts were to get worse during the day, so riders were eager to get some good laps in early during the practice! The track was in perfect condition and it was time to go racing.

With some of the best racing of the year, by final time, each class was whittled down to the final four. The winners at round 9 were:

Rippers 7-9: Frankie Jones

Rippers 7-9 Women: Evie Knight

Rippers 10-12: Rex Ford

Rippers 10-12 Women: Betty Wills

Juvenile: Louie Kucharik

Youth: Jack Davey

13-16 Women: Esme Ward

Senior: Markku Reynolds

Masters 30: Kingsley Mears

30+ Women: Katherine Oldfield

Masters 40: Dylan Dixon

Masters 50: Martin Ogden

Big Fun 17+: Ben Ungar

In the Women’s small final it was Agnes Musial taking the win and 5th for the day. In the main final it was Katherine Oldfield, Alice Taylor, Abi Taylor and Jessica Dove lined up. The gate dropped and it was Katherine Oldfield taking the holeshot. Fresh from winning the 2026 4X ProTour overall title, she was on form and led the race from start to finish. The battle for 2nd was tight but it was Alice Taylor who took it from Abi Taylor and Jessica Dove. In a small twist, at this race the 17-29 Women and 30+ Women were merged so when the results were separated it was Alice Taylor taking the 17-29 Women’s win.

Onto the Elite Men. There was a shock in the semi final when series contender Jake Hart failed to qualify, crossing the finish line in 3rd. Joe Wallbridge, Ben Jones and Dan Cay also went out in the semi finals. Joe Wallbridge would go on to win the small final to give him 5th overall for the day and the final step on the podium.

In the final it was Connor Hudson John Lillingstone, Tom Bell and Jack Hudson. The gate dropped and Connor Hudson made his trademark fast start. It all unleashed in turn 1 though. With the riders coming together, Tom Bell was able to stay upright and grab the lead as the others tangled. John Lillingstone set off in pursuit of Bell, but across the finish line it was Bell from Lillingstone with Connor Hudson recovering to take 3rd and his brother Jack in 4th.

Sunday Round 10. ‘The Finals’

Round 10 was held on Sunday and it was Finals day. The culmination of the 2026 Schwalbe British 4X Series and the crowning of the Series Champions.

Again the races were incredible to watch. Everyone pushing for race wins to qualify themselves through to the final. Come final time, your winners were:

Rippers 7-9: Frankie Jones

Rippers 7-9 Women: Evie Knight

Rippers 10-12: Teddy Jones

Rippers 10-12 Women: Holly Richardson

Juvenile: Louie Kucharik

Youth: William Chaplin

13-16 Women: Esme Ward

Senior: Louis Hopkins

Masters 30: Kingsley Mears

30+ Women: Katherine Oldfield

Masters 40: Dylan Dixon

Masters 50: Martin Ogden

Big Fun 17+: Ben Ungar

Senior female and once again it was a battle between Jessica Dove and Alice Taylor. The scores were tight coming into the final day and any sort of slip from either rider would mean the other would take the overall title. It was Dove who was able to capitalise and she was able to take the win ahead of Taylor and with it the 2026 Schwalbe British 4X Series title.

Elite Male and it was all to play for.

In the Small Final, it was awesome to see Dan Cay take the win and 5th for the day. Dan has had multiple injuries in 2026, so it was great to see him back on the podium. Dan was able to fend off Izak Williams, Joe Wallbridge and Connor Joscelyn. Season best result for Williams will send him in to winter motivated for 2027.

In the final final of the year, it was Connor Hudson, Jake Hart, John Lillingstone and Ben Jones in the gate. The gate dropped and it was Jake Hart with the holeshot, until disaster struck. He crashed out in turn 1. Through the early turns, Hudson protected the inside and held the lead. Jones battled his way into 2nd. Hudson was able to hold on to the finish line taking the win and the overall series title. Jones finished 2nd, Lillingstone in 3rd with Hart in 4th.

The win was enough for Hudson to clinch the 2026 Elite Mens Overall Champion Title. Jake Hart finished 2nd with Jack Hudson 3rd, Duncan Ferris 4th and Ben Jones in 5th.
